AYW student with her son
Many of our students are the first in their family to graduate high school. — Even more are the first in their family to go to college. — They are breaking a cycle of poverty.
Education and jobs training are they key to empowering young people to make a difference in their own lives and our community. You can ensure that this opportunity is here for our students.
At American YouthWorks, our students face significant challenges. They are homeless. They are pregnant or are already parents. They live in a low income household and must work to help pay bills. Completing high school takes a back burner and they stop attending.
We can’t remove all their challenges, but we sure can help these young people succeed by finishing high school and learning job skills!
You can help young people with your generous support. Make a tax-deductible donation today! You can make a secure contribution online through eTapestry or mail a check to American YouthWorks, 1901 E. “Without American YouthWorks, I would have dropped out of school,” said one student, who also happens to be a young mom.
